Paid Internship

Brixton Energy has partnered with Repowering London to launch a paid internship for young people in Brixton. Through the internship you will learn about renewable technology, solar panel making, marketing and social media, community engagement and energy efficiency. Repowering interns have already achieved amazing things. Victoria Omubuwajo was the Solar Power Portal Intern of the Year in 2015. Interns Ziggy and Israel had their concerns about the government’s change in support for renewables raised in Parliament. Kemal Callender from Roupell Park used his Repowering experience to jump start a media enterprise with supercars.

The internship is AQA accredited and will boost your CV. You will get paid the London Living Wage. If you are interested book your place now. Call Eric Schloss on 0203 674 7519 or email

We would like to inform you that as from 1 April 2017 Laker/Birchcroft would cease to be the Gas Contractor for Loughborough Estate Management Board (LEMB) Tenants.

As a Tenant Management Organisation (TMO), we are committed to meeting our duties and obligations under the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 to ensure the safety of our residents. Gas Service

Two qualified gas engineers, already registered with gas safe, will start with LEMB on 15 March 2017 following the end of Laker Gas Contract. We will carry out gas servicing to all tenanted properties, concierge offices, under croft and the community centre. The council sets allowance for gas servicing periodically. Having an in house gas engineer will provide better monitoring of the service and value for money. We have developed an up to date policy and procedure covering current legislation and administrative requirements. LEMB has also registered with Gas Safe. The council will make sure that 10% of all gas servicing is checked annually to comply with legislation. There is a generic email address which is for gas servicing with two dedicated lines to manage repairs during the day and out of hours which include weekends. The numbers will be publicised and letters to go out to residents by Monday 13 March 2017.
